Wing Shooting

South Africa offers exciting opportunities for those intent on a wing shooting adventure.

Kemp African Safaris do not offer dedicated wing shooting packages, but rather as an add-on to your plains game or dangerous game safari. Wing Shooting can be a rather social affair and is generally enjoyed in groups. If you are not traveling with your own shotgun, one can be provided.

There is a variety of bird species available, namely White-faced duck, Egyptian Goose, Spurwing Goose, Knob billed Duck, Guinea Fowl, Quail, Doves, Francolin and Sandgrouse. Should you have specific preferences regarding species please communicate these when you book your safari.

The best time for wing shooting is during June to August, which coincide with the open seasons in most South African Provinces.
